Red Beans and Rice Dinner

 

1 Tablespoon dried bell pepper flakes

1 Tablespoon dried minced onion

1/2  Teaspoon dried minced garlic

2 Teaspoons seasoned salt

1 Bay Leaf

1 Teaspoon granulated sugar

1/4 Teaspoon cayenne pepper

1/2 Teaspoon celery seed

1 Teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 Teaspoon crushed red pepper

2 Cups dried red beans

1 Cup uncooked long grain rice

Prepare beans according to directions.  Add the seasoning mix and cook until done.  Prepare rice.  Serve beans over rice.

Roquefort Dressing

 

 

1 pint mayonnaise

1 carton Sour Cream

1/2 teaspoon Lemon Juice

1 & 1/2 teaspoons Vinegar

1/2 tablespoon Lea & Perrin

1 teaspoon Salt

Black Pepper to taste

2 large packages Roquefort Cheese (crumbled)

 

Mix all ingredients and store in refrigerator. Good on crackers
